Dirty looks eh? Start using the phrase "going postal" more, it changes the dynamic a bit. I think Barney would be better suited to chair the Committee on Sexual Exploitation. We can't end piracy because it will be my new career path after The One puts me out of business. I'll show those amatuer Somali's how to get the job done.

Sound advice, Comrade. There are very few free thinkers here, and though many are conservative, few are able to engage in any kind of meaningful dialogue. The Cube is my outlet. Going postal is a possibility. I know a foil-beret clad liberal who spends his time denouncing Fox but can't admit that it's "fair and balanced" by the existence of the other 17 networks who openly support the One. He thinks "The Man" is trying to keep him down, though he superior to many around him in pay and position. He gets offended by everything negative I say about The One, current politics, etc. I always intend to offend him, and all liberals, to prove that I am not afraid of being labled a racist for pointing out flaws in their logic and policies, something that they call "offensive." For example, after stating that "due to our social climate, in many instances, the will of the many is overshadowed and overpowered by the gripes of the few or the one." I mentioned that minority opinions force their will on the masses, like with the situtation in the Washington State Capitol Christmas display. He responded that "I'm a minority and I don't feel I'm forcing my will on anyone." I tried to repeat myself, saying that I said minority opinions, not racial groups, etc. etc., but he was already mentally gone. He replied that I should be careful what I say because someone might interpret it as racist. I could tell by his tone of voice who that someone might be. He's one of the ones that labels my fear of the President's policies as racist. I say nothing about his color or background, only my fear of Socialism. That's racist, didn't you know?

That sort of offense, I highly encourage, just to show we're not afraid of having a contrary opinion. I don't find you, or any other Cubists offensive. Funny how we lampoon ideologies and hypocracies yet are labled close-minded...

The "no offense" was intended for whoever on the board that may enjoy an alternate lifestyle, people are people we all want the same things out of life.

I use a different tactic with leftists/liberals, I ask them questions whose answers force them to recognize that their argument is flawed. Communism, socailism, global warming, war on terror, Euro trash diplocompromise, League of Nations, failures of the U.N. , you put them in the position of having to justify their position based on the facts. The problem with leftists is that they rarely have to defend their position or debate the facts. Theirs is the unassailable accepted truth echoed in the halls of the fourth estate, they only associate with the like-minded group-think crowd. They are never pushed to critically anaylize anything (not like it's taught anymore), and they polarize/marginalize their political opposites by sloganizing their criticism and framing dissenting ideas with labels - racist/homophobe/zenophobe. We are the great unwashed that Harry Reid is glad that he will not have to smell anymore, slobbering idiots whose thinking is not nuanced. We don't know how to do things smarter or have a more considered understanding of history. Nuanced, Considered are code words for "that's my story and I'm sticking to it", facts be damned. When they know they've lost they'll say something that will disqualify you and them from having any authority on the subject ie global warming, "well I'm not a scientist and neither are you so we are not qualified to argue the merits" or that they could care less about about the affected peoples - war on terrorism, "screw the ragheads, let them eat their oil". I get great pleasure out of frustrating them, it's the equivilent of clubbing a baby seal.

Whoever coined the "Hopey McChange" label made the price of admission to this American tragedy a little more bearable, I'm still chuckling at that one. I mean really, I can't wait to use it and to see the horrified looks I'll get.

You are indeed a great Comrade, Red Jim. It's so entertaining how, when you cite facts, offer research, etc. they get very defensive and start hitting below the belt. When citing analysis from several sources about how much the Spendulus will really cost, they go to their default answer of blaming Bush, talking about feelings, or just try (in my case) to silence me with their superior rank. Occasionally, one will just keep his mouth shut, but I've never heard one admit to being wrong. What's more common is exactly the face saving measure you described that attempts to disqualify you and them.

I wish I could hear their "screw the ragheads" comments. Usually they make comments about feeling sorry for them or how we should endeavor to understand why they do what they do.
