The Left is as the White race and the rest of the population of the country is as the negro. This is how the Left sees it:

One of the most striking characteristics of insanity, in many instances, is, forming correct conclusions from fancied or erroneous premises; so with the anti-slavery fanatics: their conclusions are right if their premises are. They assume that the negro is equal, and hence conclude that he is entitled to equal privileges and rights, with the white man.... I recollect once of having heard a gentleman from one of the Northern States, of great power and ability, announce in the House of Representatives, with imposing effect, that we of the South would be compelled, ultimately, to yield upon this subject of slavery; that it was as impossible to war successfully against a principle in politics, as it was in physics or mechanics. That the principle would ultimately prevail. That we, in maintaining slavery as it exists with us, were warring against a principle-a principle founded in nature, the principle of the equality of man.

The reply I made to him was, that upon his own grounds we should succeed, and that he and his associates in their crusade against our institutions would ultimately fail. The truth announced, that it was as impossible to war successfully against a principle in politics as well as in physics and mechanics, I admitted, but told him it was he and those acting with him who were warring against a principle. They were attempting to make things equal which the Creator had made unequal.

In the conflict thus far, success has been on our side, complete throughout the length and breadth of the Confederate States. It is upon this, as I have stated, our social fabric is firmly planted; and I cannot permit myself to doubt the ultimate success of a full recognition of this principle throughout the civilized and enlightened world.

The slavery the Left imposes isn't chattel slavery, it is more insidious. The South at least was honest. But the Left dare not be honest.

The statists of collectivism claim they aren't socialist/communists because the goal of socialism/communism is the nationalization of 'the means of production.'

The truth is "things" are not the means of production. We are the means of production. People are the means of production. Starting with our incomes and ending with our very lives they will nationalize us to the extent they can get away with. The Left nationalizes the population. They socialize the population. Not things. Things are just things.

Before and during the hostilities of the Civil War the issues involved were plain to see. Today the country is in no less a terrible divide. One side believes in slavery and would impose it completely on the Nation. They are doing a very good job. All for our own good, they would explain. Just as the South rationalized slavery as a positive good for the negro because he needed it for his own well-being, so too the Left imposes itself on the Nation. It's the entire rationale behind ObamaCare. Our individual judgments are not even good enough to know good insurance from 'substandard.' Thank goodness we are not free Men but have masters to look after our lives!

A house divided cannot stand. I do not believe it cannot remain this way. It will either be all one thing or it will be all the other.

You are correct. It gets more and more difficult to make light of the bullshit that's shoved in our faces and down our throats with each new transgression. The asshole currently in the white house and his minions could care less if they have to lie, cheat or steal to get their agenda pushed through. The crap Harry Reid pulled today is inexcusable. Sadly, we are doomed as a Constitutional Republic.

Ah yup, all humor aside no matter who is in the White House come 1/20/17 we're not going to see a return to what we were. What would have qualified as tinfoil hat type thinking 20 years ago are now mildly pessimisstic thoughts of the future.
