Latest from The New York Times:

Times Ousts Jill Abramson as Executive Editor

The New York Times dumps its Executive Editor, a woman, soon after she certified her fidelity with their official tramp stamp.

"She recently got a tattoo of The Times's gothic “T” on her back."

Ms. Abramson has enjoyed doing "stand-up" journalism at her job, though I'm uncertain, at this point, what that is.

“I've loved my run at The Times,” Ms. Abramson said in a prepared statement.“I got to work with the best journalists in the world doing so much stand-up journalism,” she added...

The Times also renewed its pledge to continue to find new ways to "cook" the news, even in these difficult economic times.

"The upheaval comes in a crucial year for The Times, which has shed assets like The Boston Globe and About.com, and built a strategy around the newspaper that it hopes will spur growth. The paper recently began a new subscription iPhone app, NYT Now, and plans to start specific cooking and opinion products."

Stand-up journalism? Here is an example:

Why did the journolist cross the road?
As with everything else, he/she/it wants to be on the left side of things.

No, it's not funny. There are no jokes in socialism, comrades, except for... well, you know.

Comrades,

Of course Saturday Night Live isn't funny. SNL hasn't been funny since they changed their format from comedy to serious journalism back in the 80's. I thought everybody knew that.

Comrade Craptek - Of Course SNL is Funny! It has been "Deemed ENDLESSLY HILARIOUS!" by Our Betters More Informed Comrades in Our Heroic Glorious National Media, Various Members Of The Arts, MANY Kamerads Residing In The Manhattan Peoples' Republic, etc.

For This Very Reason, Every Member of my our Kollecktiv is required encouraged to attend the weekly "SNL Laugh Practice" sessions so that "they" will know when to Guffaw at the Brilliant, Hilarious Skits that are endlessly presented on this Most Politically Korrekt Entertainment Peoples Informational Television Program.
