I'm now reading Diana West's American Betrayal for the fourth or fifth time and marveling at how pertinent it is to current events. The Big Lie, the doublethink, the disinformation, the burying of dangerous facts, the refusal to see implications of facts or even the facts themselves, and all the rest -- where have we seen this before? Plus ça change....

Excellent book. Highly recommended.
