You know I respect you as a Cubist, and, I still do, but you just posted a video of Romney, a proven loser, trashing Trump, a proven winner, so far. Just 4 years ago he praised Trump for his endorsement:

Those of us supporting Trump are not doing so because of how we “feel.” We are doing it because he has a better upside than a downside. It's a pragmatic thing. In no way does it equivilate (my made-up word combining equivalent and equate) to those voting for Obama. We are not mindless plebes who do not understand what the stakes are. We know. Do not doubt me. We are just as concerned as you are.

Edit: Oh, and, I wish he had shown this kind of "moxie" when running against Obama in the last presidential election. He did well in the first debate, but wimped out in the next several. Someone must have given him a "talkin' to" just like he's giving us now. And, I voted for this wimp while making my way through the hordes of Obama voters on the way.

Romney was defeated by a friggin' liberal news-monger, Candy Crowley.

He let this happen, pretending to be above it all. I knew it was hopeless then.

I suspect he is paving the way for a step-in for the presidency should Trump get the nom. Wow, wouldn't that be great?

Yeah, let's vote for another loser. A wimp, pansy-assed, silver-spooned, lying loser!

I don't intend to insult anyone. I'm sounding the warning bell! Trump is a fraud. He is there to either make sure Hillary is the only choice for the majority of voters or as Plan B if Hillary's scandals become too much for voters to accept. He's part of the Clinton inner circle. Trump is a confidence trickster and a con-man. That's who he is!

I'm no fan of Romney. I thought he was a weak choice. That doesn't detract from the fact that what he is saying about Trump bares consideration.

In politics, the truth is usually hidden.

With Clinton and Trump, The truth is ALWAYS hidden. They are working together.

Kapitan Kangaroo Kourt - Judge Jeanine must also be part of that vast conspiracy:

User avatar
I'd be more inclined to think that plastic talking head is part of the conspiracy, vast or otherwise. I could only take 1:22 of her contrived blathering.

User avatar
That "plastic talking head" is Judge Jeanine Pirro - and she's not just an opinionated Italian woman from New York. I remember her from my days in New York, when she was running for state Attorney General in 2006. She had a good chance of winning but the Democrats dragged out some old scandal about her husband, and so she lost to Andrew Cuomo. Before that she was a county court judge, then she served as the elected district attorney of Westchester County for 12 years. And one needed to have guts and dedication to be a Republican in New York. Today she looks like she had a facelift, but that comes with the job of having her own show on Fox News.

Regarding the conspiracy - I think it's highly improbable. Neither of us has direct access to their minds, but let's be logical here. First off, if there was anything to it, don't you think Cruz and other candidates, as well as many anti-Trump radio talk show hosts, would jump at it?

In my objective view, Trump is not perfect - but, in Rush's words, his upside is greater than his downside. And the biggest upside is that he is immune to the current political, cultural, and ideological climate where progs rule. In this climate Cruz (even if he becomes president) won't be allowed to accomplish much despite all his great ideas. It would be like sending in a farmer to plough the minefield - he'll get killed out there.

The only way to win here is to change that political, cultural, and ideological climate first - and the only candidate who realistically has a chance to do that is the boorish, thick-skinned, and aggressive Trump. He's a steamroller who can flatten the rigged field and make it possible for great people like Cruz to move in and do their jobs unobstructed.

In other words, before we send in the farmers, we need to send in the army. Or, if you compare America to a troubled school, we must send in the cops before we send in the teachers.

Oh yeah. This morning I found this.

https://blog.dilbert.com/post/140353736681/a-letter-to-donald-trump-from-a-voter-not-me

It's an open letter to Donald Trump thanking him for overcoming his fear. It's deep and sweet.

To: President Trump

From: Just a simple man
I've been following your campaign since your announcement, reading millions of words written about you, watching thousands of hours of video and speeches, listening to many talk radio show segments, and engaging in dozens of debates with people around me.

No candidate has ever captured my attention the way you have.

Now that it's clear you will be the Republican nominee, I want to share with you something so personal, painful, and uplifting, that I almost don't want to write it, but I will anyway…trolls be damned:

My whole life, up until yesterday, has been based on reaction to fear.

Growing up as a black man in Washington D.C. during the “crack 80's”, when Marion Barry was mayor, I lived a lower middle class childhood in one of the most dangerous cities in America. Though I had many friends, I was also subject to the threats, intimidation, and bullying that happens when you're not like the people around you.

There was no father in my life to steel me against the world I lived in. My mother was strong, but it's not exactly the kind of strength I needed. I was a boy, and needed a Man.

(read more by clicking on the above link)

Trying to convince me by quoting a letter that may or may not be genuine smacks of tactics used by the left. Look at the man and his history. He would be a worse president than Obama and would do more damage to the Constitution than any previously imagined. He's a thug and a bully and, worse, he will not use his bully boy tactics on his very good friend Hillary. Support for Trump is a vote for Hillary.

I am, quite frankly, astounded that otherwise intelligent people are so enamored by this disgusting and classless individual. I've known trailer park trash with more class than Trump. We have better options.

Not trying to convince you of anything. If you actually read the link you will find pictures of him and his responses to other posters.

Comrade Oleg, I agree with almost everything you have stated - except for Trump. He is not what he advertises.

I would not be at all surprised that, if Trump did not gain the Republican nomination, that Hillary would draft him as her VP. He's already a huge supporter. History matters.

If that happens, remember, you heard it here first! :-)

My long shot prediction is Clinton/Trump vs Cruz/Rubio. Clump vs Crubio.

Of course, I could be completely insane but that's no reason to dismiss my opinion. That would be politically incorrect and would require re-education.

BTW, I don't believe in conspiracies but I do believe in collaborations and I do believe that Washington looks out for its own interests at the expense of the people. I don't think there is anything different in this election cycle.

Trump is a lot closer to Hillary than anything the Democrats are offering.

I'm not sure if this has been posted yet, but it might be of interest. It's from Garry Kasparov, former Soviet citizen and chess Grandmaster. It isn't pro-Trump, but it IS anti-Bernie. I don't know where else to put it, that's why it's here.

"I'm enjoying the irony of American Sanders supporters lecturing me, a former Soviet citizen, on the glories of Socialism and what it really means! Socialism sounds great in speech soundbites and on Facebook, but please keep it there. In practice, it corrodes not only the economy but the human spirit itself, and the ambition and achievement that made modern capitalism possible and brought billions of people out of poverty. Talking about Socialism is a huge luxury, a luxury that was paid for by the successes of capitalism. Income inequality is a huge problem, absolutely. But the idea that the solution is more government, more regulation, more debt, and less risk is dangerously absurd."

This kind of shaming is probably why this happens:

...Trump has consistently polled better on anonymous online polls than on phone surveys. An explanation of this effect could be that some Trump supporters aren't willing to identify themselves publicly...

Polls may actually underestimate Trump's support, study finds

Nobody likes to be called stupid, his IQ questioned, or presumed to be a herd animal. And not everyone has to explain himself every time this happens. So people often just stay silent to avoid the tiresome shaming.

Isn't this also what happened to most people of the country in recent decades? The majority was shamed into silence by the media, education, and the cultural establishment. And now the silent majority hears a voice that says things that they previously only kept to themselves. They recognize their own voices in it. And they want to support this voice, even if they do it in silence.

I know about the temptation to remain silent because living in New York and working in a corporate environment, where almost everyone was a liberal Democrat, I used to hurt my career opportunities by speaking my mind. The pressure is very real.

And before New York I lived in the USSR, where people were used to keeping their opinions to themselves... And now I see history repeating itself. If we have a chance to stop this from happening, we should take it - that's all.

Thank you, thank you, thank you. I've seen many internet "fights", and they always go to petty name-calling and slapping. I've seen discussion boards fractured and many people punished or even banned from using said boards. Some of these people were deserving of punishment, others not. I have seen great people who brought life to boards banned and bottom feeders rewarded, and vice-versa.

I saw such a fight beginning to conglomerate and brew here, but seeing as I myself have been caught up in said fights and sometimes punished myself by saying something in the past, I chose not to attempt to intervene. I always said and still say thank you to any administrator who steps in, breaks up the fight, and tells everybody to be civil and orderly. Thank you for doing that.

User avatar
There was a disagreement on the Cube, some five years ago, which turned into a fight among some active members.

Unfortunately, at the time I was preoccupied with personal family matters and was unable to intervene and get to the bottom of it. As a result, some good people left the Cube and that was very sad.

Fortunately, right now I have time to read the threads and comment on them.

INDEED! Pamski. You are all like family to me. Though I vehemently disagree with some of my fellow cubists on THIS matter, I love you all and the beauty of the humour that we all bring as a gift to each other.

Nobody could accuse any of us as lacking for passion! :-)

I don't know... Are you donating?Because if you aren't then you aren't a true Kubist.

Although, to be honest, by this metric I'm not a true Kubist either. I'm giving too much money to Bernie and the CPUSA to give any money to The Kube.

Same as both of you. This website is such a breath of fresh air, even in right-of-center and conservative websites (netosphere?). One thing that keeps me from a lot of blogs is the utter dead-seriousness and lifelessness of them. Both in the articles above and the comments below. I'm of the "you have to laugh to keep from crying" camp when it comes to politics, and the Kube is one of the few places where you have to do that. It's one of the most lively places I've ever seen on the internet, the atmosphere here is very cordial and everybody gets along like family. It's always bouncing, and regardless of what time it is there's always something to read, somebody to talk with. That's not something you get from any old website. We might disagree with each-other, we might jab each-other in the ribs every once in a while, but that's brotherly love, isn't it?

The Kube, in my opinion, is an example of political humor at it's finest. There's only a handful of people I can think of who are better: PJ O'Rourke, Dave Barry, George Carlin. But a class that the Kube stands alone in is style. Most political websites are a dime-a-dozen, but there's only one Kube. The writing is extremely competent, it's some of the highest caliber writing I've ever seen on a discussion board. The people here are genuinely some of the most upstanding, kind, friendly, and civilized people I've ever seen on the internet. And how many right-wing websites can claim a former Soviet citizen as their founder?

I didn't realize donations are allowed without the gun pointing at your head (tearing the remembrance of old times). So, preambly, I did donate. Side question to KKK, are trolls allowed to donate?
The only thing I ask, in advance and exchange, is to have some front row seats (in front of the train) when sent to Kamchatka.

A loser endorsing a loser. I'm not the crunchiest cracker in the box, but even I know not to climb onto a sinking ship!

Gee, I wonder what's gonna happen next.

I wonder about Kasich - and McConnell, too. They both look like somebody tried to burn their faces off with a propane explosion.

I was just listening to Rush, and he had a caller who restated some of the points in my article above. Not in these words, but he was talking about how Trump has shown to be immune to prog media attacks, that he has demonstrated the ability to stand tall in the face of proggish hostility and win, which makes him a great candidate.

Rush responded by saying that the caller is exactly right and he is onto something big here.

I'm just surprised nobody else has been talking about it until now.

User avatar
I just listened to Rush as well, all three hours. Surprised no one else has mentioned it too. Maybe I missed it, but I'm waiting for someone to point out Soros' recent funding of John Kasich.

If that doesn't say it all, (well, maybe just a whole bunch) I don't know what does.

None of it surprises me. The last thing the "powers-that-be" want in the White House is a Constitutionalist. It looks like they are going to get their wish.

Do it the second time, spit at the mirror. But this time wash your eyes with the tears of the oppressed people.
Report if you see any difference.

WTF does this mean? I've tried to make sense of this but I can't find it. How would spiting on a mirror and cleaning it, with tears of oppressed people or soapy water, improve the lives of low information voters? This is philosophy from a heroin junkie. It makes no sense but it has a certain artistic aesthetic.

Comrade Kangaroo Kourt, please pardon comrade droid1. They gave him too much Jiffy Lobo for him to make sense. He had too much friction with our policies and could not denounce capitalism. They might got carried away with comrade Hannibal Lector in charge.

Apologies to all, especially to the most misguided, KKK (love abbreviation suggestions) member here.
I officially blame my utmost arrogant post toward KKKruz on very early month, not even a year old, of Beet Vodka.
So KKKruz, did you, or, didn't you, did as I demanded. "Demand" is the word KKKruz should be very familiar with. Did you spat at the mirror? Don't play stupid and follow my directions. The rest should be easy.Side question KKKruz, do you still like Cruz?

I didn't know that droids could get a Jiffy-Lobo™. It just goes to show how much The People's™ Technology™ has improved.

Who died and made you Party Leader™? Nobody but Deer Leader is allowed to demand anything from the progs.

I assure you, I won't play stupid and follow your directions. You can rest easy.

Oops. Sorry comrade Red Square. I thought trolls were fair game. I'll refrain from distain.

Another scuffle and I'll freeze this thread. I DON'T CARE WHO STARTED IT.

I still don't get KKKruz'es fetish with Cruz.
KKKruz, can you elaborate please? Without insults this time?

KKKruz, not to point the obvious. But, can you re-read your posts and see that you are a bully? Bully in my old Country equals a Commie. Sorry to say, but that's who you appear to be.

User avatar
droid1, you're not paying attention. I have no fetish with Cruz. I have an intense dislike for Trump. There is a YUUGE difference. As far as I'm concerned, my dead cat would be a better option than Trump. He's not a Constitutionalist and that makes him unqualified to be president, in my opinion. It's only my opinion.

I'm gonna be honest, and this is no insult to droid1, but I thought he might have been a troll as well. Mainly it was the writing. Looks like either he isn't good with typing or is learning English. In both cases, we should be friendly and patient with him,. If he is indeed learning to type, then he should be coached and corrected without insult nor harshness, and doubly so if he is learning English. Heck, we should be friendly and patient with him period, it doesn't reflect well on any internet discussion board if they're exclusive and unwelcoming. Trust me, I've been a part of one before that had some members that were like that, and the way they treated the new members made me fume with anger. You just wanted to take a Sunday edition of the New York Times and beat them over the head a few times with it.

We ALWAYS welcome new members warmly and lead them to the shed where they can pick their shovel. This is the only time in Cube's history when a new member was insulted and called names.

Please accept my apologies, droid1, on behalf of the kollektive.

No idea what are you referring to.Given, can you answer my question about Cruz? My cat is dead too, so...I'll jump-start for you. Cruz is your everyday politician, much worse that a whore. Trump on the other hand ...Forget that, did you, or anybody in your Family got shafted by Trump? (that scenario might explain)

Accepted. And, all of us being on the same side, I'm (quite honestly) flabbergasted by KKK's attacks.
