[ just wondering why Congress exempts themselves from their own laws ]

They want the ‘Laws-for-Thee' – Surprise! The same Play
Make us COM-ply – while THEY skate away
An unfair bargain – they man-ip-ulate
And isn't it sardonic? Boy this stinks

It's like Olden Days when the Serfs obeyed
Our-Fore Fathers died – with their lives they did pay
Yes they rolled the dice – for our dear country's sake
Our Freedom they bought – NOT fetters!

Congress HIDES a-way – makes us their bulls eye
They make a Fed-er-al case if we don't bend – comply-y
They fritter their WHOLE damn lives – on OUR tax dime
And as they WEIGH us down – we thought – this SHIP-we-MUST right
And isn't it sardonic? Boy this stinks

Laws sneakin' up on ya

The Laws they – jam- when they get to escape
They all – VOTE – decline
To live – under their fate
It's like Fed-er-al Goons are ta-king aim with long knives
It's needing the ‘American Dream'
Then cheating our bountiful life —
