Comrade Junior, while I do, for the most part, agree with what you are saying above, I feel that I must point out that part of what you wrote is genderly offensive. In today's world of Almost Next Tuesday™, we must be careful not to offend the various genders. In referring to only "the boys (girls) and the girls (boys)" - in other words, the "birth-gendered" - you have, unintentionally I'm sure, left out the trans-gendered, the undecided-gendered, the unknown-gendered, and of course both the gay- and the lesbian-gendered.

This is not appropriate, comrade, regardless of your good intentions.

Your beet ration will be suspended for three days, after which time there will be a review conducted by a multi-gendered panel of your peers in order to determine if you've made progressive progress in your understanding of the rainbow.

My comrades immediately rejected the idea, saying I was stupid for thinking that the two concepts were comparable. While a Rethuglikkkan would argue that the body is what determines gender and race and there would be no difference in claiming either, a progressive would argue that f*ck you. Really, what's the difference? If you can be a certain gender in spite of your genitals, why can't you be a certain race in spite of your skin color? Where do you draw the line, and why? Anyone could just claim to be a low-income African-American lesbian trapped inside a heterosexual white male's body, and demand to be treated as such.

The true Prog is someone who utterly rejects any relation to reality. If I was born a boy but feel like a girl, why not? Well, if I want to, but then I ought to have the support of all society to pay me to sulk and bitch and moan about how I feel bad about being a boy who feels like a girl.

Bear in mind that this boy/girl feeling is a private thing. The important thing is making sure that people know I, or you, or whoever for whatever reason about anything, is not responsible for anything, and since someone must be responsible, we get to say who it is.
