Electricity lines

User avatar
I thought electricity was just this magical thing that came out of power sockets, just like you find milk at the store. What's all this?

By the way, what happens if you run out of battery power whilst waiting in line to recharge? Are there jerry-batteries available? Asking for a friend.

Good Kapitan, this whole electricity thing was solved... Some people just won't believe in the New Green Deal.  Bedwetting Rethugglikkan Bastards.

Of Course! I forgot about renewable energy. Now if we could just get this perpetual motion thing working.......

Comrades. Get with the times!

Green New Energy first debuted 100 years ago (1922). It's called gravity.

Do I have to do everything for you peoples?

Great idea if we're going down hill but it still doesn't help with electrical circustry.

We are going down hill. Fast.

Maybe that's the solution to the perpetual motion conundrum.

Gravity? Like US immigration or even gun control... each is already a law the US avoids mentioning. Focus on the Revolution, Comrades!

The above imaged Comrade is not interested in your effects of gravity and the ensuing shaming numbers! He/she/xir already has electric transportation, their (and your) share of Lentils, and that tiny basket prohibits buying in bulk!  Does it look fun?  Get with the program, or get on the boxcar!

GREEN ENERGY and whatever AOC, Bernie, and Bloomberg want this week!

See the following...  (because I don't know how to make tweets of the twitter appear here...)

Inflation Stings Most for Those Earning Under $300,000 - Bloomberg

To build more charging stations as the naive Comrade Bergman suggests, they would first have to find a place to put them. They'd have to buy property suitable, but to do that, they need funding. To do that, they'd have to circulate a petition and get enough people to sign it so they could put it on the ballot in time for the next election as a proposition or bond or whatever to raise enough taxes--say, $50,000,000--to pay for the construction with an estimated date of completion in 2025. If it doesn't pass, then you have to find a judge somewhere to overturn it. But those opposed could take it to a higher court and this could go on until it reaches SCOTUS. On the other hand, if it does pass, those opposed will also find some judge somewhere to overturn it, and onward and upward we go still. Either way, there are still all the environmental impact studies to be done on the site of the new charging station to ensure that some endangered species such as the spotted humpback fire ant isn't displaced or endangered even further.

By now the costs will have ballooned to $80,000,000,000 with an estimated completion date of 2035, by which time the charging stations will be technologically obsolete.

Yes, we need more charging stations, but we need them now, and since we can't get them now, there's no use trying. Remember more than 10 years ago, when we were told there was no point drilling in ANWR because it would take at least 10 years to see results? That's still true, by the way.

No, methinks the only viable solution is to release a few thousand more barrels from the Strategic Petroleum Reserve. And to blame Putin. Aside from that, there's nothing else we can do, except maybe buy electricity from Iran.
