Next Step: Amend the Bill of Rights

User avatar
Comrades,

First and foremost, I would like to congratulate our fellow comrades in Congress for passing the long awaited collective health care; a much needed overhaul for the Masses™. We can now rest the 40+ years of debate. I cannot wait for our Politburo run health care; they will ensure our health is number one priority.

Second, since We the Proletariats of the United States™ now have collective health care, I propose our next step. Since We the Proletariats™ are changing this evil-individualistic-republic to a flourishing-peaceful-democracy one revolutionary fight to another, we ought to focus another revolutionary fight to amend the current so-called "Bill of Rights." You know, those so-called "God given rights" that the selfish individualists inhabiting our territory preach all the time? I have devised a draft to amend those so-called "God given rights" to better enhance our democracy to better ensure peace and Utopia for the Masses™, to wit:

***PROPOSAL***

Amendment I
Congress shall make laws interdicting of religion and prohibiting the free exercise thereof; outlaw the freedom of speech and of the press; forbid the right of the people peaceably to assemble and to petition the Politburo for a redress of grievances.

Amendment II
A well regulated masses, being necessary to the security of a police state, the right of the Politburo to register or ban arms, shall not be infringed.

Amendment III
Soldiers, law enforcement officers, and all other agents of Politburo shall be quartered in any house, without the consent of the owner.

Amendment IV
The privilege of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall be violated, and not describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.

Amendment V
Every person shall be held to answer for a capital, or otherwise infamous crime; any person shall be subject for the same offense to be twice put in jeopardy of life or limb; shall be compelled in any criminal case to be a witness against himself, be deprived of life, liberty, or property; and shall private property be taken for the collective without just compensation.

Amendment VI
In all criminal prosecutions, the accused shall not enjoy the privilege to a speedy and public trial, by an impartial jury of the Politburo and district wherein the crime shall have been committed, which district shall have been previously ascertained by law, and shall not be informed of the nature and cause of the accusation; shall not be confronted with the witnesses against him; shall not have compulsory process for obtaining witnesses in his favor, and to have the assistance of counsel for his defense.

Amendment VII
All suits in Roman law, the privilege of trial by jury shall not be preserved and shall not be re-examined in any court of the United States.

Amendment VIII
Excessive bail shall be required, excessive fines imposed, cruel and unusual punishments inflicted.

Amendment IX
The enumeration in the Constitution, of certain privileges, shall be construed or denied by the Politburo.

Amendment X
The powers not granted to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the Politburo.

What do you think Comrades? We must demand our Representatives and Senators to focus on this important issue.

We should feel grateful, Comrades. We are changing this evil-individualistic-republic to a prosperous democracy of the proletarian. A dictatorship Utopia of Proletarian™ forever!

Fisters of the world, unite!

I raise my Fist in support of these necessary changes to the "Bill of Rights"!! Now that we have Health Care Reform, I can obtain all of the KY that I need to deal with the Proles and Neo-Cons!!

So if they be no longer 'rights' (thank Stalin), shall we call them the "Bill of Dictum"?

We need to get rid of the flawed and outmoded constitution altogether, and create a new and simpler one. Namely "The Politburo of the Unified Socialist States of America, hereby occupies and preempts all laws, regulations, and rulemaking power within the borders and territories of the old United States of America. All power is hereby vested in the Politburo, and any such lesser entities it may or may not choose to create."

Comrade this is a good start but its is not enough to simply reverse the constitution just like it is not enough to simply make health care universal. The whole thing should be totally changed and made needlessly complecated so that no one can ever really spot the important bits.

For instance the bill of rights should be expanded to include 36 ammendments most of which should be focused on good sounding meaningless subjects like equality of the sexes and of races and the right of celebraties to be awsome. It should be filled with lawyer speak and big sounding words like "wheretofore" and lots of meaningless latin like "Heabeus Corsica".

Scattered in amongst all of this just will be a few key admendents which will be along the lines of what you have written but more streamlined and made to sound like were doing the people a favor.

Such as: "The collective guilt of the people being founded in race and genetics shall not be infringed and the government shall take whatever steps are necesary to enforce it. Including but not limited to: Showtrials, military tribunals, suspension of Habeus Corpus, denial of the right to a lawyer, accusations of crimes that have already been cleared and punishment of the family for crimes of a single member."

See? In one amendment you undo admendments 4-8 and this little bit could be easily samwitched inbetween two admendments that each spend four pages securing the rights of sealions.

This is a good start comrade but we can do better. Congress passed a healthcare bill the size of an encyclopedia its high time we did the same to the constitution, and the people's cube is just the group to do this.
