Frisco's $20,000 Trash Cans

User avatar
San Francisco has plenty of problems (fault of its own) and it aptly reflects the Kalifornia People's Republic's chronically inept money management.

Have a look at the Kalifornia Debt Clock.

Its latest effort to outspend income is new designer trash cans to the tune of $20,000 each.

San Francisco — where feces, piles of garbage have been filling its once-storied streets — to buy designer trash can prototypes for up to $20,000 each

Honestly, for that kind of price tag, San Francisco might as well purchase some of these older, tried-and-true devices that can actually pick up trash (and do so even better than a typical City Council member cruising the Castro District).

Comrade Colonel Obyezyana, you have forgotten the required first rule of progressive government: Any difficulty or inability to solve any problem can always be solved by simply throwing more money at it. Remember, anything that progressives formulate is always based on good intentions regardless of the outcome.

That, and blame someone else.

The First Rule doesn't apply here because the progressive city government is creating the problem.

Need new trash cans? No problem, buy some.

Need new trash cans that cost $20,000 each? Nobody needs that. That's not throwing money at a problem, that's creating a new problem from whole cloth.

It's not a stretch to speculate that the trashcan manufacturer has family on the City Council, its Congressional delegation or in the Mayor's office.

It would be much cheaper to shrink wrap prints of Hunter Biden paintings around existing trashcans: that way The People would readily deposit trash where it's clearly meant to go.

in an effort to end the stigma of trach, feces, and needles on the streets of San Francisco they shall hence forth be declared public art sculptures. The city has never looked more beautiful with so many art pieces gracing the sidewalks. .

Komrades, Komrades, restrain yourself!
Don't you see?
Proglo-Friscos just deplorably victoriously cling to THE proglo-marching order!

(alack, sweet memories!)

imagine my disappointment to learn that "Frisco" was not the Frisco suburb of Dallas/Fort Worth. Progressivism is in progress for progs everywhere, to include the blue urban enclaves in the Worker's union-free Paradise of deep red Texazistan, where our oil-soaked milliionaires can afford the redistribution of ill-gotten gain to subsidize the fusion of art and sanitation.

Oh well, beets to tend, tractors to mend...

20k each?? Is that why the above choice of trashcan looks like a cash deposit station?
