Journalists and other staff at the New York Times have walked off the job, nation wide, in a dispute over money, binkies, nap beds and safe spaces. Management, apparently, doesn't see the reason that any of the extra benefits should be provided.

A senior member of the management staff, who declined to be identified due to fear of being doxed, threats to his life and/or journalists writing petulant, damning articles complaining about the Patriarchy™, stated, "You know, we give these journalists a pretty good deal and the quality of their "work" (he motioned with the two handed quote mark gesture) is far from a standard worth paying more for or providing extra benefits. I don't see how binkies, nap beds, and safe spaces would improve the quality of their journalism."

Another senior member of the management staff, who also declined to be identified for the same previously stated fears, interjected saying, "It might surprise you that the quality of the journalism has actually risen since all these journalists walked off the job. We're having the interns write articles for us and they're very keen to impress and far more humble and less demanding. Plus, we don't have to pay them. It seems like a winning business model going forward."

Attempts to get a reaction from the union leadership about binkies, nap beds and safe spaces have not been responded to as of this publishing.

That's been an ongoing discussion for some time, comrade 'pelipsky. There's been much disappointment in the failure of the NYT to dictate the Narrative™.

However, word somehow leaked out about the discussions and it triggered so many of the journalists that the trigger was never pulled and investigations were initiated to find the leaker(s).

The idea was, shall we say, buried, to be resurrected later. Perhaps that time is now. There's not much point in having propagandists who refuse to propagandize.

And demanding more money! That may be the straw that breaks the proletariat's back. They should feel honored enough to do it for basic rations and 5 gallons of beet vodka per week.

I say, line them up. The interns can pick up the slack.
