Reptile food shortages hit Switzerland

Since last week, the Alpine regions of Switzerland are suffering a severe shortage of all kinds of reptile food. All crickets, frozen mice and mealworms seem to have vanished overnight.

"I had to drive all the way to France to buy some mice to feed to my pet snake," explained David Müller, an inhabitant of the small mountain resort of Davos. "It's probably because of this climate change that's going on, or Covid or something."

The authorities are completely baffled about the origins of this mysterious phenomenon. It seems to have started right before the Gala dinner at the WEF conference that's being held this week. A satiated Klaus Schwab explained to reporters that he would "look into ze problemz", then belched loudly and then rubbed his bloated belly.

Dr. Jill: "Hey, Joe, you're eating a cricket. I bought them for our pet rattlesnake!"

Joe: "So what? The Brits like cricket. The Brits can't be wrong."
