That said, I do believe they can come up with a more accurate name than MPOX.  If only they could figure out how it often spreads?

Only a limousine liberal steeped in white-liberal guilt would see the word "monkey" and assume it's a racist reference to Black people.

It's a disease mostly confined to the Gay "Community," and that's why I suggested Pride Pox months ago in The People's News.

MPOX has the same stereoterrorist Biden Administration Influence dog whistle as Fauci’s Monkey Pox.

Evidently, another concern about the name, Monkeypox, is not that "monkey" is a racist code word for black people, but that photos of black people infected with monkeypox are being used by press outlets to illustrate the disease (notwithstanding that until now the disease occurred almost exclusively in Africa and that most such photos are naturally of Africans).

No, that's racist and it's damaging, and a free press has a responsibility to drop such photos and instead use only photos of infected white people in the the Americas and Europe (or electron micrographs of the virus instead of the symptomatic lesions that people should be on the lookout for).

So along comes the (obviously woke) Foreign Press Association, Africa, to scold Western press and inform the World Health Organization about the imaginary injustice. Highlights on some of the text point out socialist language and how the F.P.A.A. invents a crisis where none exists:


Meanwhile, W.H.O. is in agreement and will cure this travesty of justice by renaming Monkeypox as "Mpox." But there are consequences to this, too.

Has W.H.O. or the F.P.A.A. considered the stigma that they're placing on Dorothy Grey's sweet old Aunt M?

Or how this will reflect on Peter Lorre, who starred in Fritz Lang's "M"?
 
No, Comrades. This pox should either retain the name, Monkeypox, or be attributed to another animal associated with the disease, like the dogs of New York and San Francisco who were somehow infected due to the "lifestyle" of their owners.
