Will Erdogantine dissolve the Galactic Turkish Senate?

Comrades!

While progress continues its unstoppable march towards victory in the USSA, please do not forget other great nations goose-stepping towards glorious totalitarianism in Europe and elsewhere.

In case you haven't been following, let me summarize recent events in our soon-to-be EU member Turkey.

Last week, the Turkish Jedi Council convened and decided that the numerous attacks on civil liberties and separation of powers by chancellor Erdogantine became too much to bear. In a desperate attempt to rid the galaxy of this villain forever, some ill-prepared Jedis made a badly planned attempt at a coup-d'état. (Some say the Chancellor himself directed this doomed-to-fail plan).

Arising victorious from the ashes of the failed plot, the Chancellor immediately took action to make the Turkish Galaxy safe again, by firing 2,500 judges and 8,000 police officials within days of the coup. (It is ALMOST as if a blacklist were made in advance, ahum ahum).

The brave leaders of Europe reacted by turning a courageous blind eye to this purge, as is their custom.

Another webcomrade created this summary (I redistributed the work in the name of the revolution).

It is expected that Erdogantine will soon dissolve the galactic Turkish senate and declare himself Sultan, thus making our world safer and more stable for generations to come. It is rumoured he might marry Queen Hillary of the American Soviets, thus creating a Galactic Empire that will last a thousand years...

Yours in cheering for European future,
Minitrue

PS: read up about this coup - it's as if Erdogan really followed the movie script of Revenge of the Sith to the letter.

The notion that this whole thing was arranged crossed my mind the moment I saw the first, raw news footage of civilians rounding up soldiers and marching them off to who knows where. The early videos had not been professionally edited before release to the co-conspirators at CNN. As a result, there were scenes of civilians and soldiers yucking it up and posing for selfies with one another. This was immediately followed by one or two civilians (The People™) taking each soldier by the arm and walking them toward the rolling camera. (no longer smiling) In a Hollywood editing studio this footage would have wound up on the cutting room floor. I watched the very same type of video "news" being released to US outlets during the "Arab Spring" uprisings. These people need some training in videography before producing and releasing any future propaganda material!

Learning to recognize Prog/Commie/Socialist/Despotic techniques is just another reason to spend time here at The People's Cube.™ Improved videography equals better propaganda. Forward!

Wow comrade Craptek, you had access to more news material than me! Thanks for sharing this...

It is just as the emperor has foreseen...

As the Türkiye turmoil unfolded, in a dozen big cities here in Germany (and in dozens of middle-sized ones) demonstrations started, expressing support for mini-Sultan of Bosphorus. Draped in Türkiye flags, the 2nd and 3rd plus 4th generations of Deutschtürken (forty- and twenty-somethings, plus schoolkids) stood up for Beloved Democrator. Dimensions : 1.000 to 10.000+ people, typically say 3.000. Went to Berlin embassy, to consulates etc. No, no riots — and don't make a fuss over every single shopwindow, ja? ("pro-Gülen-cafe" was the whistle).

but, but, but — here the prize-winning question : How come, there is never (n-e-v-e-r) a spontaneous-or-not-spontaneous demo of our Türkiye & Demokrasi flag-swinging fans for those precious "European values" and against that inhuman "desacralization of Islam by Bomb, Kalashnikov & Co" — while occasions abound ?

(and a state-organized post-Charlie-Hebdo agitprop brouhaha hand in hand with Germany's mini-pendant of CAIR doesn't count — if need be, re-educate yourself at the marker Pic above Brecht's lines)

All of a sudden, Jéàn-Frànçôïs Kérriè makes a big fuss about an immediate ban of ice picks in Pennsylvania, the state hosting Muhammed Fethullah Gülen a.k.a. TIFKAP — The Imam Formerly Known As Protector of that pompous wannabe-Sultan from Bosphorus aka Beloved Democrator.

Kérriè also demands a strict control for potential çirlimğülmürlük bülğürüm (supposedly Turkish for "extradition operator").

Is it just me, or does he look like he needs some visine in this picture? The whites of his eyes look like they have a tinge of pink.

Still a bit red from overwork, but korreketed to beady like regular pink, blue eyed peoples.

For those comrades who did not recieve their pravda today:

The glorious march of progress continues in Turkey, where the Sultan has now closed 131 press organisations and arrested hundreds of journalists, thereby ending free press completely: Turkey is now officially an Islamic dictatorship. It's also a NATO member.

Can you imagine the Capitalist Pig Donald Trump doubts the usefulness of NATO, with such exemplary allies? by the way: our own European Leaders have not yet ended talks about a possible EU membership of Turkey.

I can't wait to see what happens when the Sultan comes looking for F-16 maintenance spares.
